IWS M&E recognised for helping Anglian Water reduce energy and carbon

We are delighted to have been nominated and shortlisted by Anglian Water in two categories of their 2022 Supplier Awards: the Efficiency Award and Carbon Neutrality Award.

We have been recognised for an ongoing programme where our teams attend various sites within the Anglian Water region to undertake pump performance testing and report upon the findings. As a part of this, we detail any energy efficiency opportunities that can be undertaken to reduce both consumption and CO2 emissions from each site.

In particular, our borehole pump testing for the water and sewerage company has led to a significant identification of energy savings and, where identified opportunities and projects have been implemented, a significant reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

From April 2021 to March 2022, we have identified for our client annual energy savings of circa 2,198,958 kWhr (circa £289,163) and 466.90T CO2 emissions. Importantly, the savings realised are significantly higher than the client’s spend on the programme, demonstrating a good return on investment.

Nathan James, general manager at IWS M&E commented:

“We are absolutely delighted to have been able to help Anglian Water with its ongoing energy and carbon reduction objectives, and this recognition is testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to this important programme. We are really looking forward to the awards event on Tuesday 14 June.”
