IWS Water Hygiene has donated a charitable contribution to Lucie’s Pantry, a social supermarket located at Emmaus Salford, as part of their social value commitment with valued client The Guinness Partnership.
Lucie’s Pantry provides a sustainable and affordable source of food and household essentials to members of the Salford community struggling to make ends meet through debt, illness, or low income. The pantry provides a setting in which people can shop with dignity and make choices about the food that they and their families eat.
The team was delighted to visit Lucie’s Pantry recently and present a cheque for £2,516.00 to the charity.
Emmaus Chief Executive Officer, Jacqueline Smith, commented: “We are so grateful that our charity has been chosen to receive this incredible support. We were delighted that the IWS team took the time to visit and spent time speaking to companions whilst learning about the challenges we face operating Lucie’s Pantry.”
Regional Manager, Emma Battin, commented: “It was an eye opening and humbling experience to see the amazing work they do and the community support they provide. We are delighted to be able to give back to this organisation making a positive impact in the community.”
